that piece of paper with that typing was on it when i bought it at the thrift store! i thought it a very poignant thing to type to test it out, whoever it was that did it.
those are the mission mountains, going from missoula to kalispell on highway 93. some of the loveliest! there is a “scenic view” stop along that highway that allows you fantastic photo opportunities!
The iced twigs and the mountain landscape…beautiful shots those. Vibrant color; makes me want to rush out the door right now to my own share of the mountains (Rockies for the win!). Looks like lovely country.
These are great shots, you have a very keen eye for this kind of thing. It’s in artist fashion as well and that’s coming from a fellow artist. I always appreciate the muggy and grimy like views because I’m from NY and the whole cleaned up areas of this place becomes extremely boring after a while. It has no history or substance. -,o
Love your images.. I especially like the close-up of the clothes pin… Will you consider entering it in my ‘Weekly Top Shot’ meme? We’re on Week #18 and I’d love to see you share with me and my readers! Here’s this weeks’ link: http://www.theviewfromrighthere.com/blog/?p=6331
These are gorgeous! Just found your blog. Looking forward to seeing more pictures. Also inspired me to start putting up more of my old photos from my last travels (not to mention inspiring me to get back on the road soon).
I really enjoyed looking through your pictures. I had to look up what rubbertramping is… I guess I am out of the loop! I really liked the clothes pins, but all of them are awesome. I love the dogs intensity in his face!
What an adventure you are on! I can not imagine do something like that but kind of always wished I was more adventurous. I know I would not survive out there though because I have come to realize that I am deep down much more high maintenance that I would like to admit! I just have to have my shower, and a clean private bathroom every morning for just me!
I am going to be following you as you journey, to see more of it!
Wow I love these pictures! I’ve always wanted to leave and move out there somewhere just to get away from all the craziness!!! I live near Washington, DC. It gets pretty crazy…I’d love to just move out in the middle of nowhere like in your pictures and see and hear nothing but beauty
Beautiful blog sistah One of my many dreams is to travel amidst Mother Earth in a camper van. First Africa, then through to Europe then across to Asia. Dream big, live happy
Love the shot of the icy twigs/graass, with what looks like little eggs or seeds perhaps? Great perspective and color.
I have used your photos again….

Beautiful pictures! I loved how you ended your post with the photo of the typewriter typing ‘life is good’.
that piece of paper with that typing was on it when i bought it at the thrift store! i thought it a very poignant thing to type to test it out, whoever it was that did it.
What an amazing story – I think the typewriter was waiting for you.
Those skies are AMAZING! Stunning photos…
I like the backlit twigs too. And the typewriter!
Amazing looking mountains – Shot number 4 has such awesome colours.
OMG!! your pictures are so beautiful, so vibrant and filled with positive light!! i love them..
The second photo is gorgeous!
Great photos! My favorite one is the pic of the icy twigs…looks like a Christmas decoration, maybe? Made me think of romance.
Thanks for sharing, and congratulations on being Freshly Pressed!
thank you! i wasn’t even aware until i got the comments! and yes, the twigs are plastic, a christmas decoration. really lovely one too!
Great photos – I love the way the mountains rise straight from the plains. Reminds me of the Front Range in Colorado. Will have to visit Montana!
those are the mission mountains, going from missoula to kalispell on highway 93. some of the loveliest! there is a “scenic view” stop along that highway that allows you fantastic photo opportunities!
The most beautiful state in the Union…and your photos are gorgeous. Congrats on a well-deserved FP!
thank you!!
Lovely photos. Rather taken with the weathered clothes pegs and please may I have the dog in the super portrait?
if we keep trying to make her behave as she is not keen on doing, she may just jump ship one of these days!
The iced twigs and the mountain landscape…beautiful shots those. Vibrant color; makes me want to rush out the door right now to my own share of the mountains (Rockies for the win!). Looks like lovely country.
Mmm. The one with the clothespins is so excellent. Like something you’d write a story for..
I really like the shots of the dog and typewriter. Those make you want to hear the story.
If I was living in Montana once again, life would indeed be good. Actually, life would be better than good – it would be great!
I agree, I can’t wait to get back!!
The vicious dog scares me.

Fantastic work!
Beautiful photos, Montana seems like a lovely place. I really love the “life is good” picture!
Love the photos! Are you going cross country?
yes- i’ve got so many of them to sift through i am having to do blog posts in order but sporadically, because my internet connection is limited!
That’s so awesome. I plan on doing the same someday with a documentary idea I have. Are you driving? Hitching? Walking? I’m super curious…
driving
i am a rubbertramp for life, at least until i get a reliable bicycle.
Awesome. Super jealous. When you get to New York, head to the Finger Lakes. It’s my home and one of the most beautiful places on Earth.
The photo of the dog is my favorite. Thanks for sharing. Connie

Wish I had money…I’d buy that 80 acres!
It certainly is big sky country isn’t it?
All of your photos are great, but I really loved the clothespin one. It’s unique and made me stop to study it a little longer.
Ah, Home Sweet Home is now Freshly Pressed! You do the countryside justice. Enjoy your stay, for as long as it lasts…
These are gorgeous! My favorite is the first one after the landscapes, with the sun glowing behind the twigs. Lovely color.
Hmm, I didn’t know Montana was quite as gorgeous! The picture of the sunset and mountains is great.
